Essential Projects has recently completed the manufacture and installation of a number of bespoke metalwork products at a prestigious Nursery in London on behalf of N Family Club Ltd.
N Family Club Ltd was founded in 2017 to help ease the struggle on families in London trying to balance the hardships of work and family life, without compromising the development of their children.
The N Family Club operates from two locations in London, one at Stoke Newington and the other at the newly refurbished North London Fields area.
For this project, Essential Projects carried out a number of bespoke works at the newly redeveloped North London Fields site which now features a rooftop garden, complete with a nautical themed playground and water feature.
Contracted by Loughborough based joinery firm, Form Manufacturing Ltd, Essential Projects completed the installation of a new external ramp, stainless handrail to an existing feature staircase, as well as providing the aluminium metalwork for a brand-new water trough.
To comply with DDA legislation, Essential Projects was required to manufacture, supply and install a 15m metre steel external ramp to lead from the entrance of the building to the nearby car park. The external steel was designed to feature adjustable feet and incorporate a rubber matting to prevent any unwanted slips.
Essential Projects also supplied and installed a steel mounted handrail system to an existing staircase on site. The metalwork was supplied polyester powder coated in colour.
It was also agreed that Essential Projects would manufacture and supply the aluminium metalwork required for a new water trough which will be added as part of the Nautical themed playground. The 5m water trough was designed to incorporate timber cladding, and two external taps, so that the children could control the flow of water under the supervision of a teacher.
Commenting on the overall project, Patrick Cassidy from Form Manufacturing said “Essential Projects were extremely diligent and professional in their handling of this project. All metalwork supplied and installed at the Nursery was of the highest quality and most importantly supplied on time, meaning that we could meet tight time constraints.”
Eliot Saxton, Managing Director at Essential Projects added “This project demonstrated our ability to manufacture a number of bespoke metalwork products in order to fit complement a theme. I am pleased that the metalwork products we supplied id performing a functional role, but also providing sensory stimulation to children playing in the rooftop playground and using the water trough.”
