A commercial office balustrade system installed by Essential Projects has been added to an Equinix global data centre in Slough.
Equinix are a US based data solutions provider and have offices in 25 different locations around the world.
In the UK they operate from 11 different facilities, including the London LD6 IBX facility and internet exchange point at Slough Trading Estate, which focuses on providing extensive ecosystems to meet demand for network exchange services.
The latest Collocation facility will be comprised of two data hall blocks providing over 24,000m2 of floor area and will be built be built by main contractors Laing O’Rourke.
As part of the development works, Essential Projects was contracted to install a commercial office balustrade system.
In total, Essential Projects, manufactured, supplied and installed 45m of stainless steel balustrade around a bespoke office staircase installed by other contractors on site to enable employees of the Equinix to safely navigate between the different levels of the building.
