Essential Projects has manufactured and installed two glass shopfronts, one for a new Pizza Hut restaurants opening in Stoke on Trent, and a second for a local coffee shop opening in Nottingham.
Originally founded in 1958, in Wichita, Kansas by brother Dan and Frank Carney, Pizza Hut has grown significantly and has become one of the world’s most recognisable brands, operating in over 15,000 locations worldwide.
The first Pizza Hut restaurant in the UK opened in Islington over 40 years ago. Pizza Hut now employs over 10,000 people, and caters for 36 million people a year in their 260 restaurants. The new Pizza Hut restaurant in Stoke on Trent is located on the A50 Baths Road in Longton, Stoke on Trent and is set on one floor, seating 35 people. The Essential Projects installation included three glass frontage panels mounted within steel frames, and two entrance door panels with glass panels above.
The new Nottingham coffee shop, called ‘Coffee Mug’ will be situated in the Broadmarsh shopping centre which is currently undergoing a £100 million redevelopment project. Essential Projects was contracted to manufacture and install a 7.5m long glass shopfront mounted within a steel frame and an entrance door. The new coffee shop is immediately adjacent to the bus station and will become highly popular once the refurbishments have concluded and the area becomes more pedestrianised.
Commenting on the two project’s, Managing Director, Eliot Saxton said “Essential Projects has worked for some of the UK’s leading brands such as Waitrose, Next and Boots. To be able to manufacture glass shopfronts for a global brand as well as local independent retailers, further demonstrates that we have the expertise and ability to manufacture and install high quality solutions to a variety of different projects.”
